EI Time Trial Basics:
If you've never raced before, time trials are a good way to get started. It's a fun way to improve your fitness and riding skills in a low-stress environment, sharing the course with riders of all skill levels. You race against yourself - against the clock. The goal is show improvement in your own time week to week.

Each lap is about 1.7 miles. Choose 1, 2, or 3 laps. Riders are released in 30 second increments. Times are recorded and results are posted on the web the following day. The series runs on Thursday evenings for the entire month of June. The time trial starts at 6:30 and lasts about an hour. Riders usually stay afterward to ride more or just relax.
